I understand that this was a serious situation, but was it nessacary to cancel the game? I'm not trying to be shallow here either.

Football players leave the field and players are unsure if they're paralyzed or what. But maybe the fact that the guys heart actually stopped is what made the officials postpone the game?

But maybe the fact that the guys heart actually stopped is what made the officials postpone the game? The thing here is, that people were quoted as saying "I think the league made the right choice here. It was a seriious situation" If they had kept on playing, the same people would have said "This is what Juri would have wanted us to do." IMO.

Misleading part of the article is that it said he had a seizure, but that's in the brain. Not sure why his heart stopped, which sounds more like cardiac arrest.

The brain helps control the heart, doesn't it?

The guy probably did not have a seizure. People have seizures all the time and they don't go into cardiac arrest. This guy had a heart abnormality...unsure if it was an abnormal rhythm or if it was heart defect from birth. Either way he had a cardiac arrest, CPR was performed and he was defibrillated. Kudos to the doctors in the arena and the medics that responded.

The brain helps control the heart, doesn't it? The heart has internal mechanisms so that it pumps independently of the brain...that's why people can be brain dead but their bodies are still alive.

Special thankyou's to Nicoli the lifesaver for helping us with our Seziure-NOT a seziure lecture series..
Marcus Paulson is balls to the wall crazy good in net, it's about time too, a nice win over SNC is all good.
Russ Law, still know NOTHING about him, except that he's 100% Clutch, as in Game Winning Goal Clutch over our stupid foes the Grrreen Knights...
The rest of the team so far, way to step it up...especially after looking silly against UWRF & Stout, although I keep hearing that UWRF's Defense has the potential to be the best in the NCHA.
Way to go on a win over SNC, let's beat up on LFC next!

This season so far has been extremely rough on fans seeing Point beat some big time programs, yet lose to clowns we should beat.
I also notice that DWBT has been remarkably absent, perhaps having thrown themself off a bridge after the moments of brilliance yet still abysmal play @ times.. I dunno
Point needs to be more consistent, is the problem the youth on the team or something deeper ?
I'd love to hear other thoughts........

FWIW....
Seriously, aside from say, err.. Colin Trulock and the freshman gang that's putting up #'s (Beckfeld, Fish, Stendahl), Marcus Paulson, and a few others... It seems to me that Chris Gehrke has slowly but surely made his way into one of the top 3 defensemen on this Pointers team... No one knew a lot about him coming in, but... now it seems he's gotten himself into quite the player..and while he still has quite a few PIMS, I don't know that anyone on an opposing team really wants anything to do with him.. Forwards DREAD skating at him.. If he sticks around for his senior year...he should be pretty potent, especially with Trulock around...
