Maybe it's a typo...and it's supposed to say Pointer hockey clinches home ice for Lake Forest in first-round conference playoffs .

SLAM!
If you were registered, I'd exalt you 20 times for that.
In all seriousness, how can you not know the situation. I always thought Point having the 7:30 home start was perfect for situations like the one Saturday night. Every other game in the nation is over, and there is no reason in this day with virtual real time scores across the web to not know what you have to do.

Feel the burn!!
We seriously get better press than the Pointer Men's Hockey Team, of course they have the Stevens Point Urinal to blame for that.

Yeah, for some reason I have this affinity for intentionally saying corny things. Team RC: Running hills in July.

Whoa!! Nice Pic. Dateline Superior, Wednesday Sept. 20 2006 Bickley sidelined by brutal slashing
A trio of University of Wisconsin-Superior hockey forwards were injured in a knifing incident behind the 3rd Base Bar in Superior early Saturday morning.
Yellowjacket Michael Bickley, a senior from California, had 11 of the 13 tendons in his right arm severed, Superior police reported. Ryan Kuntz, a sophomore from Canada, received cuts on his abdomen and sophomore Seth Reda from Alaska was cut near his eye, according to court records. Another man, Joe Bluhm, received a head laceration that required 15 staples.
For Bickley, one of the top returning players on the University of Wisconsin-Superior’s hockey team, the attack means he could spend most of his final year on the bench. He plans to complete his bachelor’s degree in exercise science this spring.
Bickley “I’ll be out for a while, I can tell you that,” he said. The senior’s right arm is in a cast right now, but he said a recovery is possible. Even if the tendons heal, Bickley doesn’t expect to hit the ice for the ‘Jackets until February or March. As for taking notes during classes, Bickley is hoping to get by with a little help from his friends.
Jesse Michael Grew, 23, and Angelo Michael Garza, 22, both of Superior, have been accused in the attack.
The men made their initial appearance in Douglas County Circuit Court on Monday. Grew faces two charges of substantial battery and one charge of second-degree reckless endangerment. Garza faces two charges of second-degree reckless endangerment and two misdemeanor battery charges.
According to the criminal complaints:
Bluhm told police he tried to stop two unknown males from arguing “and the next thing he remembered was being put into an ambulance.”
Witnesses say a man later identified as Grew ran up to Bluhm and punched him in the side of the head. Bluhm fell over backward and his head struck the pavement.
Kuntz told police he saw the punch and checked on the downed man. When Kuntz went to find the man who punched Bluhm he was confronted by another man, later identified as Garza, who lunged at him with a knife and cut his stomach.
At that point, both Garza and Grew got into a car, driven by a female, to leave. Bickley said he saw Kuntz being knifed and pulled on the window of the car that the front seat passenger — Grew — was trying to roll up. The window broke and Bickley reached in to grab Grew. He told officers Grew pulled out a knife and sliced his right wrist.
Reda came out and saw his friend Bluhm on the ground and Bickley at a car. He said he went to get Bickley away from the car when a knife came out a window and cut him near his left eye. A witness said she saw the rear passenger — Garza — stab Reda and the front seat passenger slash Bickley’s wrist.
The car was driven away after the stabbing, but witnesses reported the license plate number. Grew, Garza and the driver were found later that morning at a Superior restaurant. The car they identified as theirs, officers reported, had a broken passenger-side window and drops of blood in the car.
Court Commissioner Paul Baxter ordered $1,000 cash bail for both Garza and Grew with the condition of no contact with the victims. As of press time, Garza was still being held at the Douglas County Jail and Grew had been released. Preliminary hearings for both men are next week.Original Story: www.superiortelegram.com/articles/index.cfm?id=15437&freebie_check&CFID=1073264&CFTOKEN=57250709

This is a joke. Who the hell whips out a knife and starts cutting people? Give me a break. Also, how can the bail be so low?
Hopefully they all are ok and all recover fully.
What am I going to do without Bickley this season? It just won't be the same. That being said, that picture is priceless.

Anyone know if the rumor from LTL about the 2 getting booted or whatever is true?
