I believe some cuts were made yesterday. Dorman, Laird, and Bruhn.

My question is..
Who transferred/didn't come out?
All I see are the Seniors who are gone, Halverson -- Married, and well we all know about the one player who's not able to play..
Sooo.. some of that article makes me wonder.

Believe there were a couple of recruits they were counting on that decided to pursue other options at the last minute.

It's Bullshit that they didn't make cuts before the Purple and Gold game. Now all the players that have been cut loose a whole year of eligability and don't have shit to show for it.
Edit: There's only one reason they are keeping 4 goalies too...

Edit: There's only one reason they are keeping 4 goalies too... If players were recently cut they do not lose a year of eligibilty. They do in the sense that their plans for this season are obviously messed up, but as far as the NCAA is concerned this will not count as a season against their eligibility. I'm almost certain of that.

Well, seeing as most NCHA rosters are sitting at 28-29 some lower, I would believe that the cuts were inevitable. However I feel as though it would have been safe to just drop Laird and Dorman, especially since Bruhn has been @ UWSP 1 year already, and was willing to sit out due to an excess of forwards last year. Unless of course he hadn't performed in the tryouts/practices and was somehow being detrimental to the team....... The 4 goalies issue, well.... I think everyone that can read and follows anything UWSP can figure that one out...Ah the joys of life that come with being a head coach/being a coach on a staff.. Decisions, decisions, decisions..
Welcome back DWBT, long time no posts... keep up the good work.. And anyone besides me surprised to see Nick Laird trying again especially after last season??

Someone said to me yesterday that keeping 4 YOUNG goalies is good because it helps to push all of them. Though it seems pretty scetchy from the outside...

"It was a refreshing change of pace from past years when players simply seemed content to be in the lineup, and spent games going through the motions."
*cough* Derrick Johnson *cough*
Sorry, I had to.
Nice article, though. Wish I could have seen them on Saturday. Maybe I'll have to plan my next trip to Point for a weekend when the Badgers are on the road and the Pointers are at home...

Thanksgiving weekend, SNC Friday, LFC Saturday!
Those will most likely be my next Point games.
On a side note, Jay do you think you could talk to your friend Coach Stauber and see how he thought Point looked? ;D

I might make it to Point on Saturday night, but I have a feeling that I won't make it to the SNC game over thanksgiving. I have to go to Tomah for Thanksgiving and will probably have to stay for the entire weekend. Uhg...
