Ah, as another season looms, I believe it time to dust off that old "F" key and get this thing started:
Fuckem to the socialist outside the UW bookstore who tried to charge me 50 cents for their rag of a newspaper. You're socialists!! Selling idealism for profit is not consistent with your worldview!! How laissez-unfaire. Now shut up and die.
Fuckem to bikers who think that pedestrians don't belong on sidewalks.

As for your tickets, isn't $122 the student price?? If so you are really comparing apples to oranges.... Not really. I'm comparing $ I have to spend to money I used to spend. Well, I was getting into UWSP games for free anyway, but if I would have had to pay like I was supposed to, the UWSP games would have been more expensive. I tend to ignore the concept of UWSP students getting into games for "free", as their presence is still getting paid for by a bunch of students who don't even go to the game.

Fuckem to congressional hearings.
No one speaks frankly. All this prepared statement bullshit makes me want to gag. I pray Charlie Rangel doesn't show up and make an ass of himself.....that's all I need...

I tend to ignore the concept of UWSP students getting into games for "free", as their presence is still getting paid for by a bunch of students who don't even go to the game. Hey, that's fine by me! ;D Which is my entire point on this. Why should a bunch of ceramics majors who don't give a lick about sports have to foot the bill for those of us who do/did? When they had the vote on this, I voted twice, and the tally was something like 973-10. I was two of the ten. I can't come to grips with the logic (or lack thereof) of modifying the system in this manner when it's going to raise tuition for people who have no interest in sports. Before the current model was in use, they sold a Pointer Sports Pass, which I think was $25 or $35 and got you into everything for the year. If you wanted to go to sporting events, it was still a hell of a deal and didnt charge anyone who could have cared less. I guess I just don't see what was wrong with that. But of course, when the voting happened it was typical SGA. SGA: "Hey, do you want to vote?" Student: "Like, yeaah?" SGA: "Do you want to get to go to sporting events for free from now on?" Student" "Uhhh, sure man" SGA: "Then vote yes" You could have a referendum on handing on free chocolate to people and it wouldnt have passed by the margin that the fee increase passed by. Funny that so many people have no problem voting for "free" money, via a tuition raise, for themselves, yet many of those same people piss and moan like their puppy was just shot every time the Governor or Legislature "cuts" funding or "raises" tuition. If you want to fund something....someone has to pay for it. It's not that hard of a concept. In this case, as mentioned, I think it's bullshit that every student has to fund a free ride to sporting events even though many doing the funding will never attend a single event. Why force them to pay? There is no argument that can be made.

The "ceramics majors" should have voted it down. Was it a flawed referendum? Yes, but it was voted on. (Not that I agree with the big government idea here.) Is this added fee just for sporting events or for any UWSP event?

Fuck 'em to UWS fans and thier webboard:
New innovation?? Get real, there are free message boards (like this one) witch look a hell of a lot better than that relic that they are using. Talk about user UNfriendly, it looks like something out of the late 80's early 90's you morons.
As for the fans, jacketfan 2002 is the only one that seems to make any sense. The rest are a bunch of dopes. As evidence I give you a reply to Jay...
Wow...
