I think for the most part, people in that position have no real grasp on what's really wanted, or what's really going on.

Because demand is high enough relative to supply to set an equilibrium price at a location where they are still able to generate nice profits. A company charging fair-market value?!!? How dare they!!??

Yeah, to the idiots who are going to burn things down in Madison this weekend....and who keep arguing with the staff because they won't let you in our building.
You don't live here. Go away.
Go burn someplace else, you idiots. I hope your parents are proud.

Well I guess they already are: www.wispolitics.com/index.iml?Article=47463Ok, I just read that article. The companies have no obligation whatsoever to refund profits. Whether it's an economic, or moral reason, they have none. They find the product, they refine it, they distribute it, they sell it, they make money. You can't punish them for happening to do business in a market with huge demand. One preface to this....there is no problem with companies charging whatever they can get, BUT, if it involves intra-corporation price-fixing, well then that's illegal. And then they should be shot. This is no surprise though, as regardless of your political leanings, I don't think anyone can deny that Jim Doyle just flat out ain't that smart. He probably donned a hard hat outside of Roundy's and sounded all smart to the union-folk who get their pay based on their number-rank and not their productivity (ever work for Copps in SP?) Why doesn't anyone ever complain about paper companies profits? Oh yeah, you can't really get people to be emotional about it, so there is no point in bringing it up.

Fuckem' to Fusion broadband cable.
Don't tell me that you give our building the Minnesota FSN feed because of blackout rules. If Charter can show road Badger hockey games on FSN, so can you.
